Rabbits' Guy asked for a picture of the other wheels:
We both buy all our cars used.My own car is eight years old, and a plain-jane sedan. BF has been trying to talk me into this car, also at Cooper's. It's a Shelby GT500. Not me, really, but I'll bet it screams.
THIS is me, and I'm a little tempted: 1972 Ford LTD with a 351 V8 Winsor engine. And only 27,000 original miles.
But it's the white leather upholstery that really gets me. Sweet. I think I'll stick with buying needlework though; having a car payment would cut into my hobby budget.
I'm a little shaky right now. I was off work today to have a tooth extracted. Why the tooth had to go is a long, stupid story of dental malpractice on the part of both a dentist and an endodontist with both a botched root canal and a shoddy crown. I went to a different dentist recommended by a friend who relieved me of my poor ruined tooth today. I have never had a tooth extraction before; like most things, the anxiety about it was worse than the execution. While it didn't hurt really, it wasn't a great deal of fun, and now that the novocaine is wearing off, I think it's going to hurt a bit. On the way home I stocked up on soft foods: pudding mixes and tapioca grains and gelato and ice cream. While I waited I did get to stitch a bit on Ann Wallace:
Peaches: "I'm built for speed. And I get 90 miles to a bale of hay."
Happy rest of the week!

Cars...first the 1972 convertable...I would love it, then the Shelby (does it come with speeding ticket cash?) and then the vet. I do love a good fast car!! Sorry about your tooth. I hope they gave you some good 'after' drugs. And, I love Peaches...adorable!
Peaches, good pose!
Ok, so whose car is the yellow one? The BF's? For me, I want a Mini Cooper. :D It was DH's turn at a new car this time though, and we went for the practical with a Honda Civic. That Thunderbird is nice! Will you go for it? Love your Ann Wallace so far. That tooth extraction doesn't sound like much fun. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled on the same day when I was in hs. I still remember the pain afterwards. Ugh!
Like BF's car !!! But I love the one called Peaches !!! LOL
My dream car is a 69 Camaro or the The New Dodge Challenger...
I know about those teeth ext. I have had 5 done. Just watch out for dry socket..
Did Peaches pick out the carpet? I have to say that unfortunate as it may be to have tooth extracted it is good thing in the long run for whole body health.....hope reovery is not too horrible.
I am strictly a New Beetle gal, with a slight distraction with Corvettes. I hate the dentist! Good to know average bun mileage. We bought a funny book today and it talks about raising a dog like its a car, like the vet is the service provider.
Oh Boy - THANKS! (See? EVERYBODY liked the pix!)
Stories - ever hear the old George Jones song about the old guy hangin' out at the gas station and this kid with a slick girl pulls up in a corvette. The old guy is looking it over good and the song goes on about how he had one once .. she was lean and mean and etc etc ... the kid says here, tosses him the keys, take her for a spin. The old guy says I was talking about the girl!
Pink '57 Impala convert with white leather interior - my girl friend in college had it - car was MUCH better than her.
I want an early 60's Triumph TR 4.
Peaches! You fast hay-burner you!
sorry about your tooth!
Peaches you're adorable!
Love the yellow car! I agree with you on the hobby budget though, I'd much rather have that. Peaches is so cute!
Love the new car! I am with you on the Ford, gorgeous but I wouldn't want a car payment either :-).
Hope your tooth feels much better today.
I concur on the old Ford - but no car payment is better!!
Hope you are feeling better - I do not like dental issues at all -even going in for just a check gives me the heebie-jeebies!
Hi Glenna, I hope you're surviving the dental experience.
My dream car? A sweet little Mini Cooper would be nice.
Wow... let me know if you ever need a babysitter for your BF's ride, m'kay? Gorgeous!!
Sorry about the tooth extraction. I hope your pain has faded not non-existence by now!!
Great progress on Ann!
Have a great weekend!
Oooh, that's a pretty car! I'm afraid I'd have my license hung up at the police station for speeding, though. ;)
Good call on the car -- they do take so much money that you could be spending on your hobby, always breaking down and requiring gas :)
Stick with Peaches -- That's a great attitude!
