Rolling Down the River

A rare midweek post--I've put the pedal to the metal. Or the oars to the water in this case! I've gotten Sarah Hatton McPhail (The Essamplaire) out and am working on it again. I can't think why I abandoned her.

Here, for a refresher, is the sampler photo. My tree is to the left, off the picture. A warm, lazy southern river (Sarah was originally stitched in Norfolk, VA, I believe, although I have to check the notes on that.) No snow in this sampler!

And I'm continuing to work on Janet Gibson. I'm just a teensy bit bored with the over-one verse, but we will persevere (or I may simply stitch "blah, blah, blah"). There are other samplers in the wings!

Our Edinburgh poet friend, Crafty Green Poet has given us the nicest award--thank you so much, CGP! I will apply the button this weekend when I have a few minutes to figure out what I'm doing! Please visit her for the most gorgeous photo of snowdrops, and not a drop of snow anywhere!

Also, our dear, quirky, humongously talented (photo/glassmaking/pretty much everything she touches) bunny mama, Potentially Nervous has a new site to sell her wonderful rabbit photos and wares. Check out the hilarious calendar, posters, notecards. Visit her and browse her stuff here! You know you have to have a bunny calendar! (Note: yes, that's a real bunny.)

The buns: "Why aren't we in a calendar?"
Me: "No one wants a calendar with doots in it."
Elvis: "I'm so embarassed."

Happy rest of the week!

Now did you have to show me Sarah McPhail again? Argh!!!! I love seeing yours -- glad you picked it up again! I think I'm going into stitchy panic now. lol! Your Janet is gorgeous too! That bunny calendar looks so cute! I think your bunnies deserve to be in it.

Oh my gosh, Glenna! Both WIPs are gorgeous - that Sarah is something! I laughed out loud at your exchange with the buns. "doots" - LOL!!! Tell Elvis not to be embarrassed. I'll bet the doots were airbrushed out of the calendar!

Wow! What great pieces you have going right now! Simply stunning!
Perhaps you should make your own calendar starring your very own bunnies!

What beautiful projects you have in the works! Sarah McPhail is just beautiful. You can feel the warm spring weather just looking at it.

What a cute bunny calendar! I think yours should be on the cover.

No snow anywhere, hahahaha! I think we may end up with our snow blown to kingdom come the way the wind is strafing thru here tonight, sheesh!

I really loooove Sarah (I seem to say that about all your WIPs, don't I? Well... it's true!) I love the colors.

Swan is coming along beautifully too - and I personally think it would be HI-larious if you put blah blah blah in place of the rest of the verse! Now THAT would be a conversation starter, lol!! I wonder what someone would think - picking it up 100 years from now?

Cute shot of the buns!

Enjoy the rest of your week!!

The tree in that first photo is gorgeous! Wonderful photo of your buns too, Elvis really looks like he's trying to hide himself away.

GORGEOUS!

Elvis looks like he really might be embarassed by the backdrop decoration. (We refer to them as bunny M&Ms by the way. LOL.)

Both WIPs are gorgeous, Glenna! Poor Elvis, he must have been responsible for those particular doots. :)
