4. Sarah Hatton McPhail--1826

I figured that a brand new start each day would tax both my budget and my sanity--and I have a tenuous enough grip on that as it is--no sense nudging it over with a dozen new big historic reproduction samplers (although I will be starting two or three of those), so I'm including some re-starts and some WIPs in my bunch to balance the intensity. Here's one I've trotted out before, with some new stitching on it. This is one of four large samplers I'm working on which I actually have a hope of finishing this year--another one is Sampler #1--Christinia Cathcart. I am stitching Sarah on 40 count maritime white by Lakeside Linens. This came as a kit, with AVAS, but I swapped out the ruddier, lower count Lakeside for my fabric. It's from The Essamplaire.

Here's a photo of the finished sampler--or some of it. I'm working on the boat/water section now.

Today I went through the drive-through and got a Happy Meal with a pink "Mama Unicorn" in it.

Pink!

Best wishes and see you tomorrow with a new start!

What a gorgeous sampler! I always love the colors in the samplers you choose, and the design of the tree in this one is so unique and pretty!

Now that you have resolved the stitching workload admirably, how do you plan on convincing Pink that the pink unicorn and the white rabbit are not Pink's?

Lots of interesting items in this sampler, you have done quite alot!! Can't wait to see your new start...I can identify, I would be over-the-edge-crazier-then-a-loon if I started 15 projects in 15 days. Although it would be fun, I know it would have me more nuts then I am!

Beautiful piece. I'm with you, I would lose my sanity if I started 15 new projects this month. But I am enjoying watching other people do this!!

You and I must be on the same wavelength with shying away from starting 15 new projects. It's a daunting proposition. I'm doing 7 new and 8 WIPs for my 15. Any stitching is great stitching no matter if they're old or new.

Sarah is looking absolutely wonderful. Such beautiful detail!!

Love those McDonald toys. They remind me of when McD's had those small beanie babies and we had to go through every day to collect them. They're packed away in a box. Maybe they'll bring some stash money on Ebay some day!

"Save The Sanity"

All the greats know when to cut a few corners.

Take Pink there for instance. Evil is but a hop away but sweet is here now!

How much is MkDee paying you to hawk that stuff? (Fries still as good as ever?)

AHHHHH! Such gorgeous stitching and wonderful taste in projects! I can't believe how far along you are on Sarah--it looks like a painting! I have had CHS Gingham Dog & Calico Cat kitted up since it came out and wavered on adding it to my Crazy January list. I'll enjoy watching your progress!

I love your idea of mixing up new projects and WIPs for the Crazy Challenge. So far I *love* your choice of projects. And I'm so curious to see the rest of them.
