Stitching with Miriam and Audrey on the Fourth of July in a Peaceful Garden Under the Sun While the Band Played On

I thought that those of you who are interested in sampler-y houses might like to see this antique, true Cape Cod home. It was built in 1900 and it's for sale for $489,000 and is located in East Falmouth, on the Cape. You can see more pictures of it here (click on the 2nd page--the link doesn't take you there automatically). Its barn is even cuter than the main house.

We had a little fourth of July party today. It was extremely hot, so I had a nice opportunity to play with ice. This is from my new ice cube tray: the Titanic, complete with icebergs. Hilarious.

Audrey was our honored guest. She says those are not her beers. *hic*

We had these.

Here's my sister, demonstrating Watermelon Carving 101.

This is Gilbert, demonstrating Pyrotechnics 101 while Audrey watches.

Audrey: "ooooooh! aaaaaaaah!"

Yesterday I was sitting in the stitching chair when the phone rang. It was one of the nice women from In Stitches to tell me that Miriam Chilvers had arrived. I rushed off to pick up Miriam and then kitted her up. I'm stitching her on 40 count Lakeside (I'm forgetting what color) using AVAS. My favorite combination.

I felt the urge to stitch on Peaceful Garden (Stitching Parlor), so I took it out.

And I made some progress on Sous le Soleil:

Peaches, grooming Pink.

Tomorrow's agenda: stitch all day.

Happy Fourth of July, all!

I'm glad Audrey got to see some fireworks, but...well, I hope those really *weren't* her beers. I mean, two? For one small rabbit?

What a lovely 4th Audrey (and you!) had. Thanks for sharing her adventures with us. Love the colors in your Sous le Soleil -- it's going to be beautiful. And where on earth did you find the Titanic ice cube tray? It's great!

I got confused there for a moment -- thought you were up in East Falmouth! Looks like a nice Fourth of July was had. Love Miriam Chivers, of course. Yet another one I want to stitch. Sigh. Nice progress on Peaceful Garden and Sous le Soleil too! Hope you get lots of stitching in today! Good luck tomorrow!

What a darling house! Expensive I think. Maybe not for Cape Cod, but here that would buy you a mansion! LOL
Fun pictures of the forth. I love your new sampler too.

love the WIP's. Everyone looks like they had fun, especially Audrey. I surprised a New England rabbit didn't want Sam Adams. LOL

Hef's Mom has her finger on the pulse of bunny drinking - that's fur shore. Seems like Audrey's had a wonderful 4th; now for the trip - and tolls - and traffic - back! Glad you all had a good time. Stuff looks great.

I love the Titanic ice cubes with burgs. Yes, I do. Audrey looked a bit fuzzy, I think she may have had a sip or so too many....

Stitch all day?!!! I hope you had a wonderful time!

Your WIP's look wonderful. I remember you mentioning Miriam awhile back (thanks for that) so I was looking out for it. I ordered it on the weekend! yay!

HA! It looks like you and I will be stitching Miriam at the same time. I've had the pattern for a while, but suddenly started seeing it appear all over the blogs. I'm doing mine in NPIs though.

Love the little cottage, and the picture of Audrey and the beer!

Looks like you had a fun time, Glenna! :) I love Miriam Chilvers... I think I even have her kitted up. Gulp. Love the WIP pics! I enjoyed seeing that listing. Oh, to dream. I am consoling myself by looking at that square footage--too small for me. I think I'll go for the house for 999,999 and use my spare change to redecorate. ;)

Your stitching is coming along beautifully.
The Titanic ice cubes AND the bunnie's escapades (Audrey's & otherwise) crack me up everytime!

It's easily visible that you had a great 4th of July, just the way you like it. Stitching is always one of the best options.
Great progress pictures and a nice new chart.

Oh boy, I am number 28 in line. Well. it's all been said .. except the dogs - uh is "over easy" or "Medium Rare" not an option out there?

Thanks SO MUCH for the cat help.

Looks like you & Audrey had a full and wonderful 4th! Love those titanic ice cubes, lolol! I think my DH was a tad disturbed that I laughed so hard. Your progress is marvelous, as usual. Oh, and thanks for posting that little cape cod house! Oh, to win the lottery, eh? Have a great weekend!

I always like it when tomorrow's agenda is to "stitch all day". That's my favourite kind of day!
