Brief

Just a quick post this week. I've stitched a good bit on "Catharine McNeal" but haven't stitched much of anything else. I have a new, busier position at work, which makes me a little panicky because while my old job was a bit of a snore, it was predictable and allowed me to come and go in terms of vacation days and lunch and leaving on time and now...yikes. But hey, if it gets in the way of stitching, it'll have to go! (You can imagine the merriment at home when I announce to BF that I'm quitting my job to stay home and stitch full time.)

Oh, and last week a commenter asked about In Stitches, which has so many of the samplers I post here. In Stitches is on Pear Tree Court in Alexandria, Virginia, and they'll very happily fill an order for you if you give them a call or email them (just click on the link for that information.)

Pink, contemplating a little dash down the hall.

Peaches and Elvis, sharing a wheat grass snack. The grass is grown from seeds right in the special bag. It's a bit gimmicky and too small for enthusiastic rabbits. (It's meant for cats who typically are slightly daintier eaters.) The minute Pink entered the scene, he upended the container and happily chomped on the bottom of the bag.

Happy week ahead, all!

Your Catharine is gorgeous! I sure hope the new job settles down so you can get back to more stitching. :D

Cats aren't always dainty eaters, though, are they? DD once brought home a 3rd grade class project, a lovely spider plant grown all school year from a tiny start. Old Daffy cat ate it to nibbins in the blink of an eye :o(

You are probably just on a learning curve with the new job. You'll be old hat soon and able to stitch away. Catherine looks so nice!

Oh, Catherine is so pretty! I'm just catching up on your blog posts, Glenna, and darn - you are showing MORE samplers! Yeesh! They're so gorgeous! If I lived near a LNS, I would be in big time trouble!

BTW, I totally get where you are with work coz that's about the same here. From snoozeville to the land of energizer-bunnies! ;-) Good luck!

So wonderful! Sorry to hear your job is a bit busier. I would like to quit life and stay home and sew too. *sigh*

What a great LNS you can go to. It must be a major delight to see all these terrific samplers hanging on their walls.

Catharine is beautiful! You have made a lot of progress. Congrats on your new job. Maybe as you get the hang of it, it won't impinge on your stitching time. :) I visited Alexandria once when I was in college. Spent spring break with my roommate who was from Warrenton. She took me to Old Towne (if I am remembering correctly) and we ate at a fun piano bar that I think was called The Fish Market. That was a really fun trip. And a beautiful area!!

Great progress on Catherine!

Congrats on the new position at your job! That is especially wonderful for me to hear, because I remember you were concerned about losing your job last year (and maybe you started at a different compnay while I was on hiatus last fall/ winter?), so kudos to you!!

But yeah, let me know if you ever manage to get your BF to let you quit and stitch FT instead. I will definitely want to employ your strategy!! ;)

Have a great week!

Catherine is stunning. I hope you settle into a groove with work and can get back to your stitching time! My cats plow down that grass in about two minutes flat. Poor blades of grass don't even stand a chance. My boys are not what you would consider "dainty eaters". LOL!

Glenna, I would like to tell you how much I enjoy your blog, your animal's antics, and your cross stitching. While I am not new to cross stitching, but I am new to blog reading ( I do not have a blog). I have two young children (2 and 5 months) a dog and a cat, and married. I have recently taken up cross stitching again, and wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration to me to stitch and to stitch large beautiful projects. Thank you.
