Asleep

I have spent most of this holiday weekend either cleaning, stitching or asleep. Since I am sure you don't want to see pictures of me snoring in my stitching chair with my mouth open or napping under the big ceiling fan in the master bedroom (surrounded by cats) or of my blinds-cleaning operation, I'll show you pictures of my stitching progress instead. Progress on Catharine McNeal--I pulled out the satin stitches on the one thistle that I stitched that way and replaced it with normal cross stitch. I'm glad I went with that decision; I'm not balking at the idea of stitching along on this now.

And because I get a tad tired of all that blue-green, I have restarted Charlotte Clayton. I had started it previously on a 32 count Lakeside that was a rosy/yellow color which swamped the colors of the thread and also meant that the coverage was a bit skimpy with the NPI. So I rekitted the cannibalized colors and restarted it this weekend on 40 ct Lakeside in navy bean. I'm much happier with this, although I've adjusted some of the thread colors to compensate for the fabric color.

Here are the buns, having their Sunday nap just prior to the one I had.

Happy week ahead!

Love both your WIPs!!! I like the blue green but I can understand you getting tired working on it after a while. The red is a very nice break. Looking forward to see more!!!

Your projects are just beautiful!

I'm glad to hear someone else sleeps surrounded by cats! Wish I could pet those cute bunnies.

Catherine is looking very pretty but I can understand what you mean about getting the 'blues'. The colours on Charlotte are a perfect remedy. Looking lovely!

Catherine is so pretty! Love the colors and that house is fabulous! Your new WIP is lovely - I really like Navy Bean fabric; it's a great color and Charlotte will be lovely on it!

The honey bunnies couldn't be cuter!

Sounds like a well balanced weekend. What a pile of cutie buns!!! Now, correct if I'm wrong, but isn't it time for ELvis to get his bangs cut?

What? How can you possibly get tired of blues and greens? Well, let's just see how far I get with Catharine before I chuck her in the WIP drawer :o))
Your other start is lovely. Gorgeous colours and fabric!

Catherine looks good, Glenna, and I like the thistle with regular x's instead of the satin stitch! Like how the fibers pop on the Navy Bean!

Your Catharine McNeal is BEAUTIFUL. I really, really, really like that sampler. Have fun with Charlotte! With a piece that big you have to love the fabric and threads. I'm looking forward to your progress on both samplers. Love, love, love the bunnies!! Have a great Memorial Day Glenna!!

Catherine looks fabulous. Like your choice of the navy bean for Charlotte Clayton. It's definitely a change in color scheme.
Don't work too hard... a girl needs her relaxation time.

You definitely made the right decision on Catharine. I think she looks great this way -- that satin stitch wasn't needed at all. Catharine is sooooo pretty!!! You're making great progress on her! And Charlotte is looking good too! She was one of my favorite stitches!

Glenna, what color linen are you using for Catharine? I love it. The colors really pop our on it, and it's much better than the one on the chart.
Have a wonderful holiday!

Cute bunnies and you know how much I love Catharine. I don't think it misses anything by doing cross stitch instead of satin :-).
