Are you doing the nearly-free Ackworth Sampler? And do you have your favorites if you're just a spectator as I am? I do--the one that looks gold on a blue background. I was on the fence for a while about doing it, because I have so many other things going. So I held off. But last week when I was at In Stitches, I saw this Needleprint project, Sarah Spence's 1806. I left it behind, regretted it and then had them send it to me. If only all our regrets were so easily resolved! It just so happens that I'd placed an order for a stitcher's half of 40 ct Lakeside Linen in the new color, Porcelain, from Attic Needlework. It arrived today, and it is the most tender of pinky-ivories, so lovely I wish I'd gotten a yard. It's hard to tell from this picture, which I took by lamplight and the fading daylight. Anyway, it's a big design, 328x398. There's lots of blank space around the motifs, though, isn't there?
I've been working on this quaker design as well--I picked it up this week. The idea is to finish it before I start the next quaker. Hah! Tomorrow I'll drop by Everything Cross Stitch and pick up a couple things I've ordered and see how many of the AVAS I can get for Sarah Spence. And I haven't forgotten our friends, Headless Hussy and Brainless Betty. Pictures of them on Sunday. And I even picked up Christinia! My needle has been smoking this week.
Friday buns. They routinely sit on each other, smush their faces against each other, smash into each other while running full-tilt across the room and bowl each other over, step on each other's heads or bums. They don't seem to mind.

Glenna, despite we're on different "needles" I can see something we've got in common - plenty of stash :)
My two are the same...jumping one over the other, trampling all over the other's body or head, bumping into bun when ABS do not work...seems so normal to them and don't care, a bit like with people in the London underground!

I'm spectating on Mary Wigham too, partly because I can't decide on colours ;) I love the blue and gold one you mentioned, also the brown one done by icco-note and the red, dark brown and beige one done by a French stitcher, I believe.
Love the pic of the buns, they look so sweet cuddled up together like that :)
I'm just collecting the charts and watching the progress on Mary Wigham at this point. I do love Sarah Spence -- I agree, the colors are lovely! Some of the other quakers aren't as nice colorwise. Your description of the bunnies -- so funny!
Dogs and bunnies don't seem to have much need for personal space, do they? LOL.
That's a gorgeous Quaker. I'm downloading (and donating for) the MW installments, but haven't set needle to linen (and may never). I do love watching everyone else's progress though!

I'm just a spectator as well. I really enjoyed looking at you Quakers. They are wonderful! Cute bunnies too.
I jumped on the MW bandwagon a couple weeks ago and it is addicting! I finished Part 1 and had to stop because I have Christmas projects I need to get done.
I LOVE the Quaker samplers and I've looked at Sarah but didn't get it because I knew I'd start it, too and didn't want to force myself to quit working on it either. I love the color of your fabric for this sampler! It will be beautiful!
Do you wear out needles? I must say I find your work ethic with the stitching quite inspiring.
You do such lovely stitching...and so much so quickly! You make me feel quite lazy...I love your patriotic designs you are doing. I would definately leave them up year round.

Glenna, I love Sarah Spence, but have yet to add her to my stitching stash. She is one of my faves, and can't wait to see your progress!! I will wait until BP is done before I start another quaker, a large one anyway. Your other quaker is looking grand!

The porcelain fabbie is beautiful. I'm using porcelain from R&R that I've had for years on my Beatrix Potter and just love it's gentle color. Now, I'll have to go and find yours to have a piece for Mary Peacock! So adore visiting your blog and catching up with you, Glenna.

I am a Mary Wigham collector and spectator too at this point. I love the design, but feel I should probably finish Beatrix Potter and Sarah Moon that are both languishing in the WIP bin before starting yet another one. Something about the Needleprint Quakers really draws me in though. I have collected several and have one of those imaginary walls dedicated to them in my head. LOL!
That fabric is really beautiful. I don't think I have seen that color yet. Sarah Spence will look lovely on it, I believe.
I always love the bunny pictures. They are all so cute and their personalities really show through the stories you tell. :)
