Stitch All Day

Happy Easter, everyone! My wish for today was to sit and stitch all day on something I haven't worked on for a while and then prepare a simple Easter dinner. Wish fulfilled! We are having roasted arctic char with mushrooms and steamed cherrystones with melted butter along with steamed spinach. I'm not fond of ham and turkey bores me to tears. I've spent the entire day (since 8:30) working on Anne Anthony by the Essamplaire. I restarted it on a whiter linen (Lakeside) so that the odd colors show up better. There's lots of over-one on this (see the botton row with the little strawberry plant)--all the strawberries plus the people in the bottom row and probably the people flanking the house.

Here's the chart of the repro:

The Easter bunny woke up grouchy from his nap, as you can see. Too many jelly bean deliveries last night, I guess.

My contract position is over after tomorrow, so I am headed to the Cape next week before I start my new permanent job. Photos from the Cape to come. Maybe it will be warm enough to fish finally?

Happy week ahead!

I love Anne Anthony ... hope you enjoy lots of stitching on her today! I'm sure all of that over one will be well worth it and make for a beautiful finished piece! Can't wait to follow your progress. Maybe one day I'll finally put her in my rotation too!

The temps in Plymouth are in the 50's this week but they say ( like they know ) that the temps are going up next week end. Anne Anthony is one of nicest reproductions I have seen.

Oh I love Anne Anthony! Gorgeous!
And the bunnys . . . don't look a bit tired after delivering eggs :)

Congratulations on the job front - I hope it is something you enjoy. Anne is really beautiful. And I think the Easter Bunny deserves a good rest - I mean he has to work a lot harder than, say Santa who only has to deliver the gifts the reindeer do all the hard pulling work, the poor Easter Bunny has to deliver and carry everything!

It sounds like a wonderful Easter - full of exactly what you wanted. And Ann Anthony is gorgeous - what a beautiful Springy piece.

Your Easter day sounds a lot like mine - other than the food. I would never have thought I'd love a sampler with giant birds but I absolutely love Anne. It will be a stunning piece when done.
Sorry the buns are crabby - I'd be crabby too (and often am) if I had to do all that delivery work.

Isn't it incredible what progress you can make on your projects when you have uninterrupted stitching time? I love this sampler.
Great that you have a new permanent job!

Congratulations on the new job!

Love the stitching--I'm glad you got to enjoy your Easter day. I read the 'roasted arctic char' as 'roasted arctic CHAIR' and thought--awkward. ROFLOL Yeah, that's me, always awkward!

Enjoy your trip to the Cape.
