Remembering Yazziebear

We adopted Yazziebear from a Petco adoption fair in Fairfax City 16 years ago. I had always wanted a Siamese cat, and I spotted her from across the room. She was tiny and intense and determined to attract our attention. We brought her home that day, along with a little brown tabby we named Martha, who died four years ago and who is sorely missed. While Martha was busy being carsick on the way home, Yazziebear was busy chirping and commenting from the carrier. She never stopped talking until we had her put to sleep today after a long and debilitating illness, and one of the most difficult things we've ever had to do. She adored us equally and thoroughly, and we adored her in return. Rest in peace, little girl.

Glenna,
The pain of knowing that our furry ones are heading for the Rainbow Bridge is almost unbearable. I know as I have had to do this for four of my furry members in the last five years. My Max was my velcro buddy and it was SO hard for me to go through it last May. It stills brings tears and a lump to think about it.

Know that they are at peace and now are healthy, waiting for the time they see you again....

Hugs, Evelyn in Newport News, VA

I'm so sorry, Glenna. I'm sure that was a difficult decision to make. It's hard to lose a furry member of the family.

Oh, dear. There are never appropriate words to say. Bless you for not being selfish and making her suffer so you won't have to feel the pain of her passing.

Wishing Yazziebear happy days at the Bridge while she waits to be reunited with all her her friends from this side.

So worry for your loss - that decision is "The Last Best Thing" we do for our dear animal companions - heartbreaking nonetheless.

Glenna - I'm just catching up with postings, so missed this earlier. This has really been the year for losing our pets. I am so sorry. The passing of a well loved pet leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. I didn't realize it until I saw her picture, but your Yazziebear looks much like a cat that I had as a kid (in Oakton) and the weird thing is that my cat's name was Mammabear! Sending warm hugs your way -

Glenna, I am so sorry for your loss. I too have a Siamese that I dearly love. I have had Siamese cats ever since I was a little girl and nothing beats their conversations! They are family members and I sure your Yazzi was no different

My heart goes out to you...just remember, Yazzi is now without pain and at peace...surrounded by all the micey and birdies she can handle! {{{HUGS}}}
