I won Sharon, aka Daffycat's 50,000th Visitor Giveaway and look what arrived in the mail this week! She sent me a beautifully stitched and finished ornament--so cute!--and some other fun Christmas and stitchy things--kicked off the Christmas season for me so wonderfully. Thank you, Sharon!
I've been pretty busy during the Thanksgiving holiday since finals are next week and trying to get some things done, so I confined my stitching to one project--Sarah McPhail. Here's where I left off around November 1.
And what I accomplished over the last four days. I finally made it to the river.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Doesn't this piece of sushi look Christmasy with the red and green fish roe?
And speaking of Christmas, look who's the Christmas Bun on Christmas Cards and stamps? Yes, it's Pink, (grouchily) bedecked in Santa finery and featured on a card. The photo was taken by Pink's foster mom/rescuer/president of Bright Eyes Sanctuary, Patti Henningsen. You can purchase Pink's cards or stamps, or items with other buns on them here, and a portion of the proceeds will support the Sanctuary's work with the little rescued buns:
Pink says that he is an incomparably elegant Santa.
Happy week ahead, all!

Cute ornament! Congrats on your win. You've made a great deal of progress on Sarah in just 4 days... she's looking good. Pink makes a handsome 'cover boy'.
Although I am not inclined to much Xmas spirit, having worked retail for quite a number of years, I think with Pink heading heading of the task force I might be able a muster up a partridge in a pear tree.
Wow, Pink, you make a great Santa!
Congrats on win !!! Pink looks very Christmasy !!! He is a cutey !! Sarah is also looking great !! I didn't get to stitch over the long Holiday weekend !!!

Sarah is looking lovely - I so enjoy watching your progress on her!
I just finished writing a paper that I had procrastinated - it was due at 11:59 p.m. and I just slid it in under the wire - the joys of being a college student :-)
What a darling picture of Pink - the others must be jealous of his stardom :-)
Nachtegaal will want a pin-up Pink poster!!
Love the stamp with Pink on it as Santa... I so wish I could be able to buy them and use on my Christmas cards, but alas, they're no use in the UK :(
You're doing great on Sarah! And the ornament is really pretty, good for you.
Go Pink!! Love the card--too cute!

Glenna, I don't know how I missed this post. Sometimes I think that Blogger has a mind of it's own! I love the ornament - such a great piece to win.
Sarah McPhail - I just don't know what to say about her. She's really stunning and you really made a lot of great progress in four days.
And Pink looks wonderful in his Santa outfit. BTW, I definitely think that you should join me in making Phebe - it's such a wonderful quilt and misery does love company! LOL
