Now I Know My ABC's....

Yesterday I went to In Stitches and picked up my framed Alphabetissimo. I love it; they did such a wonderful framing job. (Alphabetissimo, by Papillon Creations, stitched in 2 colors of NPI on 32 count Picture This Plus (don't remember which blue), 2 over 2.)

It's hard to tell from the above photo that there's some blue in the frame; here's a close-up of the frame.

While I was at In Stitches, I picked up all the remaining stuff I needed to do the Prairie-Schooler ABC stitch along. I bought 6 of the charts, the fabric and DMC. If you want to see what the finished project will look like, click here,. Vonna set up a separate blog for the SAL, which also tells you how to join if you're interested. Thanks, Vonna! If you need any of the supplies, you can call In Stitches in Alexandria, Virginia, and they can take care of you; when I was there yesterday, they had all but one of the charts, and they say that the charts take just a few days to get to them generally (assuming they are in stock with their source). The charts are $7.50. The final project, if you're doing all the letters on one piece of fabric will be 646 x 307 stitches. No need to do the whole thing to join; you can just stitch one letter if you prefer--this is a no-sweat/no obligation SAL.

Without further ado, here's the beginning of "A is for Anchor." I'm doing the entire project on one piece of 45 count Graziano linen in ivory, one over two using the recommended DMC.

I didn't forget "Squirrel!" Here he is looking a little frizzled; I had to frog out some stitches and there are some threads hanging off him. Also stitched on 45 count over two using DMC.

Here's Peaches, saying that she thinks my blog post is boring because it doesn't feature enough rabbits. Don't worry, little girl; we'll be back on Thursday with the First Annual Rabbits' Thanksgiving. Let's see what kind of mischief we can get up to. See you then!

Happy week ahead!

Hi Glenna! I just ordered my charts for the ABC stitch-a-long too. Can't wait to do this design. 45 count is going to be gorgeous. I'm afraid it would be on my scroll frames forever if I attempt a count that small. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. It is a wonderful piece isn't it?
can't wait for the rabbit Thanksgiving! LOL. That should be fun.
Take Care!

It looks like Audrey won't be making it your way for Thanksgiving, since she took a side trip to Germany. I hope the bunnies aren't too disappointed.

Ok, that picture of Peaches just cracked me up! lol! Your Alphabetissmo is gorgeous! Nice frame! And yes, I'm in almost the same place on my PS Alphabets! Pretty funny! I just need to put the red in the compass (just picked the DMC up at Michael's for it). I'm sticking with the over one on 30ct. I love how yours is looking! It should be fun! I guess I should join the SAL. :D

Your Alphabetissimo is so pretty! I love the frame, the colors you stitched it in - everything about it. You must be thrilled to have it home.

Your PS piece will be gorgeous! I'll enjoy watching you all from the sidelines and then be disappointed I didn't join in.

Peaches is just the cutest!

Since I started on Z, I guess we'll meet in the middle somewhere. I'm already addicted to it. I guess I need to drop Vonna an email and get joined up as well. Your Alphabetissimo is just lovely, Glenna.

So yeah, R is for Rabbit, so of course you had to have the Prairie-Schooler. U is for Unlock, interesting....and I is for Indian corn, not Indian because????? political correctness or had all the indians been killed or reserved, leaving only their corn. It is all so curious. Can't wait until the First Annual Rabbits' Thanksgiving. That Peaches is such a peach.

Alphabetissimo is a lovely piece of embroidery and very nicely framed too! I love the photo of Peaches.

I have a cushion that has the alphabet embroidered on it with rabbits embroidered in between the letters....

Oh my gosh, you sure do know your ABC's - and you've learned them very stylishly!! Wonderful framing, too.

I'm terribly tempted by Vonna's SAL, but I have to get to Maine, first. ;)

Happy Rainy Monday! Hopefully you have the week off and are cozy in your house and didn't have to travel to work on this dreary day.

Your alphabet is just gorgeous - beautiful framing.

What a cute little squirrel - I have yet to attempt 45 ct but you are tempting me.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Pretty framing. Reminds me of a few years ago when BL did some stitching. Mr. Framer did very good business!

Peaches .. practicing for her role in some Christmas Chorale no doubt.

We didn't think it was boring at all, but we can see where Peaches might have had some issues. Loved the Alphabetissimo -- so beautiful framed. Great job!

Very nice start on the PS alphabet. I'm still thinking about joining Vonna's group, it's such an attractive SAL, right up my alley.
