Just a Bit

This has been a week full of studying; next week will be the same, since I'm coming up on midterms. I can't wait for the following week though since I'll be taking a week off, partly to study, but partly to do some things around the house and of course, stitch! I'm a little disappointed since we'd planned to spend most of the week in Charleston, SC, but as I realized how much time I was going to have to spend on my computer, I asked BF if he'd really mind if we just stayed home. He said he doesn't mind (hopefully he really doesn't), and I'm going to make sure we try to get away on shorter jaunts.

More progress on Sarah McPhail. I notice Attic Needlework features this Essamplaire kit in its latest newsletter.

A tiny bit of work (I had to start it) on the top center block of Christmas at HRH. Fun! I'm doing it on 40 ct examplar linen using NPI.

I hope this doesn't portend anything. I came downstairs Friday around 2 a.m. and this guy was sticking to the sidelight window of my front door, no doubt eating the bugs attracted by the porch light. Interesting to see his underside and sticky little feet.

Elvis says hi and wants to wish RG at House of Rabbits all the best in recovering from his rotator cuff operation, and also to wish Fats speedy healing. Check out the hilarious rabbit pictures at Potentially Nervous!

Happy week!

ooooh, your elvis looks so soft... Do your bunnies like to cuddle with you? I've never had any myself or known anyone who kept bunnies, they just look so sweet!

SMcP looks great and your new start is off to a good start. Have a great week ahead!

Sarah is soooo pretty! And CaHRH! Ooooh, you've started! Can't wait to see more! I think that frog is wonderful -- nothing bad about him being there eating your bugs for you! :D And Elvis -- whoa, looks like he's giving us the eye! lol!

Hi, Elvis! You're such a cutie.

Your Sarah is looking soooo pretty, Glenna! And you may be the first one I've seen who's started at CaHRH - brave girl.

That IS a wierd perspective on a frog!:-) But perhaps it's good that it's on the other side of the glass - as in outside your house!

Beautiful stitching. Good progress on SM and a nice start on XHRH!

Yay for frong that aren't in the stitching! I adore tree frogs their little sucker pad toes just crack me up.

Whatever you do, don't let the frog in! LOL! Love Sarah and love your start on Christmas HRH. I have a fat quarter of 40 ct. Examplar in my stash. Still waiting on my Christmas at HRH though. Do you think a fat quarter will be big enough for this design? I am really hoping it will work.

Hopefully you will be able to take some study breaks to stitch.

Elvis is so cute, you just want to reach into the screen and pet him. :)
Have a great week ahead.

Sarah is looking great Glenna! It's such a pretty sampler! Great start on CaHRH. I'm still waiting on threads for it too. I hope to get a start on it next week! :) We have so many frogs around here.... whenever we walk outside at night they are everywhere!

Too bad you didn't make down here to SC! It's hot and humid this week though, so it's probably a good thing you didn't come this time. :)

I am Loving your Sarah McPhail !!! It is turning out Beautiful !! Elvis is so Cute !!! I lost my kitty recently of 18 years. I was thinking about a bunny... I had a bunny when I was 4, mom said chewed up everything. I don't remember. To Young. Do you keep Elvis is a separate place? Would like to know more about bunnies before I decide. I think That is best...

(Sorry about that. I thought of a question and wanted it all in one post)

Your stitching is coming along nicely. I am loving the first one more and more!

Oh, and what a beautiful underside (frog). Good luck on your mid-terms and have a relaxing break! I am just getting back into the swing of things (since we don't start until much later than most schools) and am finding myself torn between this and that!

I am going to be in the Arlington area in about a week and was wondering if you knew of any good places to go to shop for stitchy things? Feel free to email me directly (if you don't want to respond here) at frggygrl at aol dot com.

Aw Elvis .. how can I not get better with you help! Thanks.

Frog is BL's totem. We have some that live in plants on our porch. Somehow one came in and took up residence in a tall plant in the entry hall. WRAWWWWKKKK WRAWWWWKKK

Finally we moved that plant outside for awhile and froggie found a different plant on the porch for his home.

Unfortunately that was one that needed to come in a few days ago. for the winter. Guess who's back!

WRAAAWWWK ...........

Sarah is just gorgeous - love the colors and your work is exquisite! And you started C@HRH - are you going to do a block a month or just work on it at leisure? I purchased the pattern, but I think I am only going to do a few blocks, either as ornaments or pillows.

What a funny picture of the frog - never realized they had yellow on their little bellies.

Elvis is such a doll!

Hee heeeee, that frog is hilarious! I'd rather have them crawling up front doors than have them messing with my stitching.

Your sampler looks gorgeous. In fact, your sampler stitching inspired me to do a little alternative sampler-shopping, because you always know how to pick out samplers I've never seen before and I really like that.

The private look at the frog is cool. I've never seen one like that. Your stitching is utterly gorgeous!

Glenna, love that photo of Elvis!!

You are managing to get some stitchey time in, even with all of that stitching. Hope you can get away soon, on a short jaunt somewhere!

Take good care!

Elvis is looking stylin'! ;) The frog--that would freak me out. Good thing it's outside instead of in!

Love the progress on Sarah McP and your start on CaHRH!! YGG! I hope you do get some time away, even if it's just to get out and away from the books for a bit. Take good care of yourself, gf!
