Elvis and Warren Buffet

I finally had a little time for stitching this week. Dorothy's Garden. Sorry about the lighting--photo taken under lamplight tonight. I need to get moving on this, as there are a raft of new designs that I want to get and work on. This was a quiet weekend full of homework as usual--counting down these last few weeks until the final exams on the 6th and 13th, and then school doesn't start again until mid-January.

Today the boys visited Peaches in her room. She's very dainty and tidy, unlike the two rabbit guys, and no doubt she was appalled at the mess they made.
Here's Elvis, contemplating the help-wanted section of the newspaper.

"Hmmm--executives wanted. I'd be a good executive. I'm well-groomed."

"I have a keen mind."

"I have the same expression as Warren Buffet. (picture borrowed from Forbes.com) Warren and I spoke by phone last week; I suggested to him that perhaps he should buy stock. Now's the time, I said. Did you know that Warren comes from the same place that Oxbow Timothy does?"

"I'm an excellent public speaker."

"Here I am with my trusted advisor, Mr. Pink."

Elvis .. do not go there ... that kind of power corrupts and then you will need a bailout and gosh knows what else. But yes .. remember when we all went on the 7bunny7 and saw Warren .. he is a nice man and maybe should start a huge rabbit rescue .. did you mention that?

Your rabbit does look like Warren Buffet. Too bad Elvis doesn't have his money.

LOL there certainly is a similarity, If Buffet ever needs a double, Elvis is his man, I mean Bunn.

Your stitching is beautiful! makes me want to get out the cross-stitch projects i abandoned when i succumbed to the quilting bug. And the resemblance between Elvis and Warren Buffett is hilarious...and uncanny!

I am loving watching your progress on Dorothy's Garden. I started this one years ago - 2002? 2003? I haven't done as much as you have. It's slow going for me, being over one. But I LOVE it. I just saw her new design, Peace, at my LNS (where she works). The thing is HUGE - like 3 feet by 2 feet - all over one. Gorgeous though!

This was so lovely! The bunnies are so cute - and I agree with DKM, Elvis' bunny lips are to die for :) I can imagine Elvis giving better financial advice than some mortgage sellers nowadays, especially if Mr. Pink will act as his consultant :)
And the stitching...is coming up beautifully!

Hey Glenna-
Thanks to Anna at Stitch Bitch, I am passing along a tag for Six Random Things about YOU!
Love those bunny conversations! (And at this point, I think they have a better idea about the economy than those 2-legged idiots in DC.)
